Vi pak­ker. Vi skal flyt­te. Der­for er de fles­te bøke­ne pak­ket ned. Det står ei åpen papp­eske her, men det er Turids bøker og er for tida ikke i bruk. Den nær­mes­te boka jeg fant leser jeg fak­tisk for tida og er i sek­ken jeg frak­ter jobb-ting på bus­sen med.

Boka som valg­te meg heter The Tech­no­lo­gy of Teaching og inne­hol­der artik­ler om hvor­dan under­vis­ning kan gjø­res dob­belt så effek­tivt og halv­par­ten så slit­somt (for lærer og elev) som i dag. At læring omfat­ter for­mid­ling av kunn­skap og at under­vis­ning er mulig er imid­ler­tid ikke popu­læ­re hold­nig­ner blant peda­go­ger for tida, så meto­de­ne har ikke vært utprø­vet i vel­dig stor ska­la.

Spec­i­fic con­tin­gen­cies may be nee­ded to teach a base­ball bat­ter to “keep his eye on the ball,” par­ti­cu­lar­ly becau­se natu­ral con­tin­gen­cies are oppo­sed to the beha­vior (it is dan­gerous to look at a ball at the mat­ter of impact, and the flight of the ball a moment later is the prin­ci­pal rein­for­cing con­se­quen­ce). Sim­ply rein­for­cing a child when he reads the text cor­rect­ly may be much less effec­ti­ve than spec­i­al con­tin­gen­cies which indu­ce him to read from left to right or to read a block of words at a glance. Anot­her way to attend to sti­mu­li so that one may respond to them more effec­tive­ly is to con­struct sup­pli­men­ta­ry sti­mu­li.
